A Note from Caleb Matthews, Founder of The SeeLink

At The SeeLink, I believe every person carries a design worth seeing, expressing and linking with others. I am proud to introduce The Deaf SeeLink, a deaf-led ASL learning space guided by Sandy — a deaf ASL instructor with 50 years of experience who remains active in her teaching career. She serves college-level learners and those learning for connection, expression, and the joy of a new language.

The SeeLink community has known Sandy for more than 10 years and has had the privilege of walking alongside her and members of the deaf community. The Deaf SeeLink grows from that relationship. Some in our community already sign, some are just beginning and others continue to deepen their practice.

This experience welcomes people of all kinds, especially those who are hard of hearing or navigating changes in hearing, along with their families, friends and support networks. It also welcomes hearing learners drawn to ASL as a beautiful visual, kinesthetic language of expression and connection. Through one-on-one Zoom lessons and group calls, Sandy offers a respectful place to learn, practice and communicate with greater confidence.
